Launching our flood monitoring prototype

We are pleased to introduce the first prototype of our flood monitoring platform. This early-stage system focuses on reliable real-time data acquisition, operational transparency, and structured alerting workflows.

The prototype was developed in close collaboration with a specialized monitoring hardware partner, enabling us to integrate field-proven sensor infrastructure with a cloud-based operational interface. While the current version is intentionally lightweight, it reflects our core architectural principles: clarity, robustness, and operational relevance.

At its current stage, the platform provides a simple but structured dashboard that consolidates live telemetry data from connected monitoring stations. Users can access a real-time map view, including a cloud overlay layer sourced from the German Weather Service (DWD), allowing hydrological data to be evaluated within current meteorological conditions.

The system supports configurable telemetry parameters and adjustable notification settings. Thresholds can be defined to trigger in-app alerts, ensuring that relevant events are highlighted without overwhelming operators with unnecessary signals. A trend overview component allows users to analyze recent developments and detect emerging patterns.

It is important to note that this is not yet a full-featured production system. The prototype serves as a validation platform for architecture, data pipelines, and operational workflows. Insights gathered during this phase will directly inform the next development iterations.
